GEP B2 Exam

The GEP English Exam - B2 Exam tests the capacity of the students to understand standard spoken language on both familiar and unfamiliar topics normally encountered in personal, social, academic or vocational life.

The GEP B2 Exam also probes the ability of the student to understand the main ideas of linguistically complex speech on both concrete and abstract topic as well as follow extended speech and complex lines of argument.

Students tested under the GEP B2 should be able to understand much of what is said around them, as well as identify the main reasons for and against an argument or idea in a discussion conducted in clear standard speech. The GEP B2 Exam also tests the student’s ability to follow chronological sequence in extended and informal speech, e.g. in a short story.
